Dated before 1967, these rings are continental .835 Silver, unlike British coins which are Sterling Silver. However this Silver wedding ring is perfect for those looking for a stunning ethical piece.
These coins are very detailed and produce a uniquely ornate style silver wedding ring, which makes a perfect ring for special occasions. These wonderful coins make a very unusual style ring with a wreath of Oak leaves as well as alpine roses on one side and stars on the other. As this is made to order you can specify which side you would like around the outside of the ring.

A Swiss Franc?

The best thing about this silver ring is the fact that it creates a wonderful talking point and really fires up your imagination. How much was this coin worth to someone in the time it was put into circulation? for instance was it a huge part of their wages or was it pocket change for a wealthy family? what would this Franc have paid for?

The Swiss Franc was introduced into circulation in 1850 after the formation of Switzerland as a federal state. The Franc coins have a stunning wreath on one side, with the other side depicting Helvetia including stars around. Helvetia is the female national personification of Switzerland. The rings can be made with the wreath around the band, or alternatively stars and Helvetica on the band.
